look around the forums for a mp, those files control your sound, and then turn your gain table to at least 3-4 for sound

i deleted the MyTone.db and the TempTone.db fiels but ringtones i added wont play for calls only in sounds

i ahve htem in mp3 format

wats the bitrate? i remember it was a problem w/ my brothers phone if the bitrate is too high for the mp3 it wont play

ninetoez's suggestion:

keep mp3s as ringtones between 32 and 128kpbs, convert them to mono, convert to 22khz, convert or keep them as constant bit rate not variable bit rate.


Those two files MyTone.db and the TempTone.db are what store your ringtones, sort of like an mp3 playlist.. Deleting them and restarting your phone rebuilds the list.

I have my earpiece volume set to 5. Recommended settings say to set all of your volume settings to 5 otherwise if you go above that, you risk blowing out the speakers. I do however have my keypress volume set to 8...so far that setting hasn't blown out my earpiece/external speaker as of yet.
