I put in a Zelda iMelody I found on here by hand into my phone, but the only option I can figure out is to assign it as the default ringtone from My Stuff > Sounds but I want it as an individual ringtone for a specific contact and it doesn't appear on the ringtone list for Ringer IDs, how would I do this? Also, I ordered a data cable (haven't recieved yet) but I'll be able to assign mp3 ringtones to individual contacts right? Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure if it would work with your phone but with mine, I do this with mine...

1. Hit the down arrow keys and your phonebook may pop up.
2. Scroll for the contact you want to assign the ringtone to.
3. Hit View
4. Click Edit
5. Scroll to Ringer ID and click on Change
6. The ringtone you want should be in that list--from there you select the one you
want and hit Done.

If none of those steps work, then maybe your phone may be set to ring to one particular ringer for ALL calls.

Also, just hope you ordered phonetools by motorola, instead of an aftermarket data cable. It's the most stable data cable kit for the v551. 4.0 was just released. If you ordered 3.0, you can upgrade to the 4.0 version on Motorola's site.

Thanks for the help but that's not the problem. The problem is that the custom iMelody I made doesn't show up on the Ringer ID list. And the only way to set it is from the My Stuff > Sounds menu > Apply as Ringtone but that applies it as the default ringtone and I can't assign it as a specefic contact Ringer ID then.
