Bitpim alert question

I have a LG 9800 and was able to import my contact lists and calendar from outlook to bitpim then to my phone. The problem is all the entries on my phone have an alarm enabled. I need to know is there a way to get the info into my phone without any alarms. I set the filter in autosync calendar settings to disable alarms but I am still getting them on my phone. Can someone help me out?

Or is there a way to turn off all calendar alerts at once on the phone. It would be very time consuming and tedious to have to do it all at once.

This sounds like a bug, i've reproduced it on the 8100, I try to get a fix into the next bitpim release.
Do you have firmware version 2 on your 9800? It seems that the way the calendar works has changed a bit on the phone.

I have v1 right now. I just haven't had a chance to get in for the update.

I've done some more testing. If you look the alarm it appears to be on, but if you edit it and go to reminder it is set to never.
I suspect that even though a ringtone is selected it will not sound because the reminder is set to never. Can you verify on your phone.

You're right the reminder is set to never. Thanks for looking in to it.

In the next bitpim version I've made a change to automatically set the alarm to no ring if the reminder is never, it will make it easier to use.

Thanks. I'm just too anal about that kind of stuff
