need help want to turn mp3 to ringtone

if some one could help me by telling me how to turn mp3 into ringtones that would be great. i have an i830 and the cord to my computer.

first transfer the mp3 to ur memory card if there is one that is.......then move the mp3s to the phones internal directory.........press the menu button selecting the mp3 and choose apply as ringtone

You might want to search/check the STICKIES before posting any questions. A post is already there on how to make mp3 ringtones.

I believe PST may be copyrighted (not 100% sure about that), so asking for links to copyrighted software is against Hofo policy. The thread listed below gives info on PST (NOT specifically where to DL it, but on its use)

I use Audacity, it is free (last I checked) and you can edit a song in your library and cut it down to where you want the song to begin and end.

If your computer has bluetooth I then just send the ringtone that I made to my phone and voila! Ringtones!

BTW, the walmart clips are free but sometimes arent what you want to hear. Thats why I like Audacity.
