Hello,

My issue here is that recently after doing a motokit backup before adding new ringtones by using MPT...everyone says they can hardly hear me. For anyone to hear me I need to cover the microphone section and speak loud. Normal conversation levels I can not be heard.

I have suspected maybe something with MPT adding ringtones, so I deleted my temptone.db file and let the phone genreate a new one...no fix.

I went and manually checked the gaintable by using P2kseem, all looks good and testing by having all levels valued @ 5..no fix either.

I have copied gaintable over from working V-series (V300, V180) still does not fix the microphone gain volume.

Please Help, no one likes to yell into the phone

try using my gaintable.bin file, i've seemed to have had no problems with it.

I downloaded the gaintable you posted but still same problem.

What other files or elements can be involved to cause my microphone volume to be so low....there is nothing covering the mic hole, and no dirt either.

Please any ideas?

Steps i took:
I deleted mine first after changing the attributes to 0 from 4 in p2kman, then uploaded yours then marked file to attribute 4...for system file.

the only other posibility is a Bad/Defective microphone, and im betting its that. check with motorola, they will replace it free as long as its warrantied.

This phone is refurb from Motorola, my new V635 had repair issues that can not be fixed so the phone I posting about is a "new" replacement phone from Rogers-3rd level repairs> Work order JAN 5th > 18th....can not fix....here u go.

I have made seem edits, and loaded java app loader on the replacement, I am very worry about them voiding my warranty b/c I "modded"the phone.

Can this be a MIC issue? is there a way I can check myself with out having my Mods exposed? or should I do a restore back to "fresh profile" and go to repairs again?

I dont like Rogers loaner program as they over the phone told me i can get a loaner similiar to my V635...such as a V551 or ROKR or any loaner w/ camera. That is false, as they gave me SE T237....with no car charger

and bad bad battery life.

Any help from here is much needed, I hope this is not a physical defect but only a defect we can fix by p2k or PST.
