Mobile phone tool freezes

Can someone please help me us whenever I plug my phone into a usb port using the usb cable supplied with my phone, and start up mobile phone tools, it freezes.

I had previously installed and deleted the following programs:
P2K Drivers , Motorola Mobile PhoneTools ,Phone Support Tools 7.1.1 (PST) and MIDway using this guide:

I have a Motorola V535

I dunno if this helps but.......... after many trials with my v980, if I shut down my computer, hook up the phone and restart the computer, most of the p2k programs work. I have too many usb hooks for the phone to connect reliably just plugging it in while running. good luck

Yeah thanks for your help, i tried that and it works. I was also wondering if there was another way in which to plug it in without mobile phone tools freezing except by plugging my Phone in while my comp starts up.
