but when i put my orange sim card in my virgin labelled phone, i enter my pin then it asks me for my subsidy password?? whats that??

Well its not your PIN. It is the code used to remove the SIM lock on your phone. The SIM lock prevents you from using a SIM from anyone other than Virgin.

As for getting the code or otherwise unlocking it, search the internet as such discussions are not allowed here.

pretty simple, someone flat out lied, your phone happens to be sim-locked when it asks for that.

ok cheers i thought it said unlocking number on the card the simcard camr form but that says unblocking number. I think my ornage simcard is now blocked with taht phone as once i type my pin in it says contact provider. Could anyone help me with my other questions?

Nick2006 are you abit stupid!!! i think you are, anyway you have locked ur phone out.. you need to contact orange for the code, thier is on code any one can give you, its not as easy as that.. reflashing the phone is the next easy step.. but id say ur abit stupid to understand that

I have the same problem, mines virgin locked... so if I contact virgin they'll unlock me, not that I want to, great network they are....

I have a T-Mobile V330 that they gave me the code for. Not that I am planning to leave T-Mobile but it is nice to be able to pop in a Rogers SIM for use in Canada.

what why am i stupid??!? you mean because it says contact orange?? but i will still ned the uncloking code? i still use my phone on virgin...how can orange give me the code to unlock my virgin
