Real music as ringtones on the RAZR, how?

Hey all,
I read someplace that although Motorola/ITunes doesn't want you to use the songs as ringtones, there is indeed a workaround. I've been messing with this thing tonight, but not luck. I tried draggin and droppin an mp3 into my music folder on the phone from my pc, but it says something like, 'invalid file type...' Any solutions out there?
Thanks

it could be that the mp3 that you're trying to import is in the variable bit rate format or is higher than 128kbps.
Ninetoez suggests for mp3s as ringtones to convert them to mono, keep them between 32 and 128kbps at 22khz, and convert or leave them as constant bit rate instead of variable bit rate.

Thanks for the reply, but I found it. Putting it here for those in need:
Setting MP3's as ringtones on the ROKRE1
When you plug the phone into your computer it mounts a drive in my computer. Open the disc representing your phone and open the 'mobile folder.' Then open the ringtone folder. Drag your MP3's into this folder. Disconnect phone from computer. go to multimedia/sounds on your phone and scroll to the file you just transferred and hit menu. scroll to copy and hit select. then select to phone. go to settings/audio/ring details/calls and select the file you saved to your phone. this should work as long as your phone has enough memory to allow the transfer.
