SLVR: garbled microphone

I purchased a SLVR from Cingular and everyone I talk to says my voice sounds really garbled and muffled and that they can barely understand me.

According to the signal strength meter I've had pretty good reception when this happens. It's a shame because I really like the phone. I'm curious if anyone else has had this problem? I'm trying to decide if I should try and get another SLVR from Cingular or maybe try a completely different phone.

try looking into the seem edit thread. I'm wondering if by editing the seem to increase the microphone speaker gain on your phone will do the trick

My L7 is like that too. Its because of poor microphone placement. It touches your face and when youmove the pphone, it makes a sound. All you need to do is notput itso close to your face.

I thought the same thing too. So I started holding it away from my face. It's weird because it starts out strong but then fades out.

I wonder if it's the slvr or if it's my slvr.
