im sorry if this has been posted before but my trans flash wont format in the phone (cannot read, format now, YES, formatting failed) can i format it on the computer or have i just stuffed my card i cant remember whether i formatted in in my phone first. by the way i have motorola e398.

yes you can, just remember to format the card as FAT, and with Default Allocation size...and you are good to go.

Once you pop the card back in the phone it will make the folders again.

yeh ive tried that before but when i put it back in the phone in storage devices it says TRANS- unformatted, is there a lock or some thing that i need to do before formatting
