RAZOR Earpeice Distortion, or is this normal?

Hey guys, I just got the Razor from Bell Mobility, when the earpeice volume is set at 7 (highest position) I get what sounds like an overload, like if you crank your computer speakers too loud. Its not constant but dependng on the persons voice at certain frequencies. A simple test for those interested to see if I'm just crazy, put the volume all the way high and make a call, listen at the ringing tone (before someone answers the phone) what I want to know is does the ringing tone distrort klike the volume is too high. Just wanted to know if this is normal or not.
