I know someone out there (who's much smarter than me) can figure out how to get rid of the lame 100 song limit on iTunes for the SLVR (and ROKR). I've read all the other posts and know that no ones figured it out yet, but I'm sure there has to be some smart tech person who can crack this one.

the point of this thread, asshopper, is to see if anyone has made any progress on figuring it out...if the answer is no, then just say no. no need for judging whether or not it contributes to the f-in community.

Boy, I'll bet this thread gets closed fast - I'm taking bets! JK....
(lighten up, it was a challenge given to the modders, OK by me)

Anyway - I'll bet TomeQ has the knowledge to overcome this, however, haven't heard from him in a while. If he can crack the original 25 song limit, crack the iTunes 4.9 limit, the 100 song limit should be easy for him.

the point of the title and this thread as a whole is to get an answer to a question a lot of people have. if doing it in a humorous way qualifies as ignorance in your narrow little world, then that's your problem.

So, if you don't know, 100 songs limit in ROKR iTunes is checked in:
1) seem 0371
2) pds_init.bin file
3) iTunes.
We can get rid of 1 & 2, but the third....
iTunes has several checks, that prevents from modding it. Also it's motorola CORElet sign, that is another security stage (but we've broken it).
So, it's just iTunes built-in checks, that we need to remove to have more than 100 songs

ignorance is not a dirty word. in fact i gave the thread high marks! don't get so upset.

on a side note, i believe there is a particular thread documenting the progress of the itunes limit. perhaps next time a simple search might be in order.

TomeQ released a new e398@ROKR patch after he announced tht he quit e398 scene. so that means that he still has his heart set on that elusive iTunes hack. you'll never know guys. i'm starting to like this thread.

you may like the way this thread is going, etc, but trust me, once someone figues out how to break the 100 limit they will not, i repeat WILL NOT post it in this thread....they will create a new thread dedicated to the subject which makes it easier to search...

Uh how about all of you simply download the latest version of iTunes released 2 days ago? Simply update itunes, plugin your phone and iTunes pops up a message saying, "Let's update your phone to support more than 100 songs"

It updates and no more limit. That simple. Apple fixed the problem.
