No Album Artist or Genre on L7 non-iTunes

I have an unlocked L7 without iTunes. I've copied files to the audio folder using XP and the SD adapter. The songs all show up in the songs list, but not in the artist, album, or genre lists. I installed mTunes and it is the same. Only the file name appears when I go to song details. When I go to Multimedia->Sounds->Details it shows the file name as Title: and under Category: It lists the album name. The album, artist, genre, and title all show up properly in iTunes, Windows Media, and on my MP3 CDR in my car. I've tried reformatting my trans card. Thanks.
