Can someone show me a link to the right card reader to get so I can put songs on my mini sd card? I'm looking for one either on ebay or at best buy. I just want to be sure to get the right one. I have been putting songs on so far with my data cable but its way too slow!

Did you get a mini SD to SD card adapter with the card?

or

Just the mini SD card?

That would make the searching easier.

either way, it's pretty easy to find this stuff on Ebay.
I bought mine there... heck, I buy everything there... hehehe

From what I know there is not a certain card reader. 8100 uses a mini SD and verizon sells the card reader for $25.

Many of the available USB card readers can read multiple memory card sizes and aren't expensive. Your miniSD card usually (almost always) comes with an adaptor for the standard SD size (which fits other devices like cameras). Some card readers can read the miniSD (about 3/4" square - like a postage stamp) which can slip into the adaptor (about 1" x 1-1/4") if your reader does not accept the miniSD directly.

Your USB card reader does not require a driver or installation for Windows XP and will be recognized as the next available drive letter, probably D: or E:. It behaves just like an additional drive.

For my $$$, the addition of the miniSD card on the VX8100 is the greatest cellphone thing since balloon tires and sliced bread.!!

I think your better off with the Multi-card readers...
Mini SD to SD is a whole different thing than Mini SD ->
Memory Stick Duo (a completely different format)...

Just to be doubly sure, I did a search on such a converter....
Nothing showed up

so one more thing...... transflash/ummm micro sd to mini sd?

seen that?

if so where???

micro sd -> sd adapters are very common.
specifically micro to mini, havent seen personally..
But with micro SD -> SD you should be ok as you
should also have a mini SD->SD with the purchase of
most mini SD cards..

I have a spare miniSD to SD adapter. I now use a SanDisk Imagemate 12 in 1 adapter that reads CompactFlash Type I/II, Secure Digital, mini Secure Digital, MultiMediaCard, RS-MultiMediaCard, Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO, Memory Stick Duo, Memory Stick PRO Duo, SmartMedia and xD-Picture Card which I got for $14.99 at Staples on Sale. This worked much better than the SD adapter... It always seemed to get out of alignment and I would loose connectivity ...

Damn card readers are expensive at Wally World! the 12 in 1 was $21.99! I went to Office Max and bought a photo printer for $59.99 and it came with a 12 card reader in the front :-P

Hey guys,

I got an Iogear mini sd card reader at CompUSA for $10. I think it works great!
