Google Mail access on V3x

Does anyone know if its possible? I have had trouble getting it to connect to the server. I have entered in the information from Gmails website as best I can, but might be missing something possibly.
Has anyone got it up and running? I can access it via the wap browser, would it would be great if I could set it up via the Email part of the phone.
