"image too large" problem on RAZR V3x

Hi,
I have got a few custom wallpapers for my RAZR V3x, but certain ones which are identical in resolution and size to working ones refuse to display on the phone. If you try to view them they just error saying "image too large". This is odd because I purposely put a huge image on the phone, and that works fine.
Does a .jpg image have to fall under certain guidelines to be usable on the phone?
Thanks

Hi
Motorola phones have a special picture resizing application in most of their phones, for instance as a guideline, the Motorola V3 Razr has it, if you go to camera and take a picture, and then stor it, then go into view, and press the inner centre part of the phone, on the left hand side you should see the back symbol and on the right hand side the details symbol, so press the central part with the highlighted box and that should bring up another menu selection and the fourth option scrolling down should be resize the image, anmd it cuts it down to size for the phone, as you are probably aware the Razr only has 5MB on board memory, so we need to assess what size of puctures should be in order to gain more memory.
So the picture i just took, so i could help you was 20.09 KB and then after resizing the picture in the Razr V3 the said pictures size had been changed from 20.09 KB to 3.55KB.
So try that on your phone and see if it works.
Hope this helps

if you edit them in photoshop, make sure you don't save them as progressive.

Thanks to both of you. Stephen I think the V3x has some different options to the normal V3i, as I couldn't find a resize image in that location - it's handy to know you can do that on the phone though, cheers! It's weird that I put a huge 1200x1000 image on the phone and I could view that, so I am guessing the issue wasn't the size, but another problem, and the phone just gave out a generic error message or something.
I then tried the non-working image (which is the native size of the screen and only 22kb) and saved it as 'standard', not 'progressive' as chorro suggested, and that worked perfectly.
So thanks to both of you for the help, much appreciated

Yes it is strange but when i posted that about the image resiser, i had an idea that maybe the V3x would have different options, but always a nicety to help peple rather than hinder, and another reason is that i know how people feel when they go to these phone websites for help, and some people try to be nasty and explain about doing a search of the forum first, and reaklly just being nasty to new comers, i do not like that at all, and prefer just to HELP
