Treo 650 or the new Sprint phone?

Can't think of the name but my nephew has one and I am sure you know which phone I am thinking of. Does everything the Treo can do and even open attachments as if you were on a computer.

What does it look like, does it have a full keyboard? Is it Windows based? Cause if so then its crap :P

Seriously though, you should get on sprint.com, find it, & post a link to it. I'm curious.

It is the PPC-6700

Oh god- STEER CLEAR.

I had one of those for a month and I have never hated any phone more. Windows Mobile 5 is complete crap, and the phone was slow, buggy & locked up constantly. People complain about the 650 resetting- the 6700 was worse! It would just lock up & sit there & I'd have to manually reset it several times a day. The keyboard was nice but the slider felt VERY rickety, in fact the whole body itself felt very plasticky & cheap. I was terrified to drop it because I knew it'd fly apart into a million pieces. And the screen is a major step down if you're used to any sort of clarity or sharpness. Having owned a T650 for the better part of a year, it was a major downgrade for me. And get this- MMS is DISABLED on the 6700! How retarded is that?

Plus it's over $100 more than the Treo, it is NOT worth it, I promise you.

Let me put it this way- I'm a computer geek, a gadget queen, and a current student of programming/IT. I demand a LOT from my devices, and I prefer the Treo 650 by a HUGE margin. It can do everything the 6700 does & more(including opening attchments, zip files, & viewing PDFs), and it is far more stable.

OK OK OK... i love the conversations about the 6700 you are correct the phone is a piece of crap... BUT. it has its good points.. I have the treo 650 but my girlfrind has teh 6700 she has more problems with it then ever. it has potential to be a great phone, if it can get all the kinks worked out of it. The email sucks, the batter life sucks, it drains like crazy... the reception is horrible.. yada yada yada... all in all if your gonna go for a smartphone, go with the treo save yoru self the 300 bucks and be happy... its a better phone and a better pda... everything is preaty much self explanitory, a 5 year old could set up an email account on the versamail app rather then tring to do do it on the 6700

Lol sorry, I get carried away sometimes. That phone just irritated me to no end.

I too had the 6700 and returned to my Treo 650. The 6700 is great with EVDO, and Wi-Fi, but trying to dial while driving is crazy. One handed use is almost impossible on that thing. If you need a phone first and a PDA second, stick with the Treo 650. If you need a PDA first and a phone second, then the 6700 may be for you. I too thought that I was going to break off the keyboard from normal use.

I agree I think the phoen COULD HAVE potential but its to new and to many kinks need to be fixed on it.. other then that tis a good NOT GREAT phone.

I just recently purchased a treo 650 and im in love with it. I cant find anything better, or anything that in my opinion can compare to that phone.
