My Razr v3i's internet doesn't work. Help?

Are there any menus I need to go into or something? I bought it unlocked off of eBay. Any help?

i'm going through the same crap ... the ebay seller should have warned us ... hos much did you pay for yours? mine was $280 + s&h with a 512mb transflash, everything works fine except for the web ... bleh ...

call up cingualr and ask them for all the browser setups options...i had the same problem and they will walk you through it, i imagine is you have another company, they will do the same.

I did and they kept me waiting and switching between their operators, back and forth and nothing, they told me to wait 78hours or that my V3i is not supported, so i came to this site and some guy gave a link : http://tmobileus.wdsglobal.com/phon...=18&phoneId=434 and it works, sooo much easier ^-^

yea theres only about 30 threads that tell you what to do so I see why you couldn't find an answer! lol

you can always use the device tut. section on cingular.com for the v3, the settings havn't changed.

You can go to Cingular.com (if that's ur carrier) and there is a link that will automatically send you a text, once you open and install the settings willl to auto configured and your internet will work. It will give you detailed instructions. There are other threads posted that will also take you straight to the link.

ok, I have an unlocked one also with Cingular service. There are multiple steps you have to do to get internet up and running. First make sure you can send and receive text messages. Then go to the cingular website and find MediaNet, automatically configure Medianet to your phone (there are manual instructions also, but auto configure will give you the password you need to get in. Once you get the text message put in the code that was given to you, then you follow the instruction for making that setting the default setting for your phone. Now go back to and then auto configure MMS to your phone and do the same as above. Trust me, I had the same problem and this worked, I am a noob and I was able to do it, If you have any problems let me know. Good luck! Here is the link for Auto Configure

I also have problems setting up Cingular's MEdia Net. I followed the website instructions, no luck. I called and spent 45 minutes on the phone with customer service walking through the same steps, still no luck. Talked with Tech Support who sent me an update, it still didn't work so he opened a tech support ticket. My MMS and Voicemail worked fine. The message I get is "File Type not Recognised" (exact spelling). Any suggestions?!

To get MediaNet working on the V3i you need to seem edit it to make it think it is a V3 instead of V3i. I was getting the file type not recognised message on my phone and this fixed it. Now it works perfectly.

search and you should find how to do it.
