- MS Voice Command of course (downloaded and purchased). Fantastic - must-have feature for me - would NOT be without it going forward. - Resco File Explorer, and as i3onk mentioned, it includes an excellent registry editor as well as an FTP addon (haven't tried the FTP piece yet - no need so far). - PocketZenPhone - as I mentioned earlier, this is an excellent phone profile manager - very highly recommended. It's lean, quick and feature-rich, letting you define anywhere from 2 to 7 profiles for your phone, each of which can control things like ringtones, volume, vibration, screen/light flashing and combinations of these such as "vibrate", "vibrate then ring", "vibrate AND ring", "ascending ring volume", etc -- and you can generally set a lot of these combinations for a load of different types of event notification, such as incoming phone call, incoming email, incoming SMS, new SMS, missed phone call, new email, etc. With PZP you can invoke its profiles via a menu, via icons on a today plugin (totally skinnable) and a popup menu from the task tray. - Wisbar Advance 2 - very nice, powerful, skinnable - PocketBreeze - all my PIM/PDA info right from the today screen - skinnable - ContactBreeze - plugin for PocketBreeze, enhances contact manager, including giving you an oversized virtual keypad that pops up on the lower half of your screen when you're searching for a contact - makes it easy to find people just by tapping with your thumb while using the phone one-handed. - iLauncher - lets up set up icon bars in your today screen. I've got one that takes up very little today screen real estate, and I can have bar show any one of a number of pages that I can define (e.g., games, music, programs, documents, ringtones, etc). - Memmaid - quick, easy and effective way to keep your environment cleaned up - recovers memory, clears out dead-wood, locates duplicate notification queue entries, clears out bad registry entries and left-over mess from failed uninstalls. - Pocket Screen Capture - freeware that does a great job of capturing the screen to an image file. Tiny, free, and works just right. - IBM J9 MIDP 2.0 version 5.7.2 java midlet manager - lets me use midlets such as the satellite view from google local. - Registry Wizard from xda-developer.com - great way to toggle a good selection of registry tweaks from the default setting to an "optimized" setting. If you want to skin the user interface, there are a couple of folks - probably "Juni" being one of the very best (if not THE best?), who come up with gorgeous "skin sets" that offer unified themes, with coordinating skins for multiple products - so one skin set, for example, will include matching skins for five or six different products that you might use together on your phone. Makes for a great looking user interface. I also like the idea of skinning "dial pad" -- the default pink rectangels that WM5 displays (at least in the T-Mobile version) are too small, and blah. With a dial pad skin, the whole thing looks SO much better when you go to dial a call. ZPhone skins look good, and there are a few others out there as well. Worth doing a google search for these...and I'll be doing some experimentation myself as well. That's it for now. Can't load anything more to be resident in memory, but I'll be looking at other progs that I can run on demand -- lots of room on my miniSD! Excellent phone, great experience and utility, and I only expect it to keep getting better as I learn more and tweak it more. |

I also use MemMaid - takes the garbage out for me when needed. Battery Pack Pro - Has a lot of usefull tools that are easy to use and are easy to get to. One of the best is the lil' red X that it places where "ok" usually goes allowing you to really close running apps instead of minimizing them. TomTom Navigator 5 - Took some tweaking to get it to work properly with my Bluetooth GPS reciever (purchased off of Ebay), but once I got I working it is awesome. Resco File Explorer - better and easier to use than the built in file explorer. Resco Registry Editor - do I really need to explain why? ![]() Age Of Empires Gold - (plus the extra scenerios and campaigns). Very addicting stategy game. Battleship - Anyone else have it and wanna play a vs game? Striker X - Classic! And awesome graphics as well... SBSH Pocket Weather - I have not tried other weather apps, but I do not see the need to do so since this does everything I need. Pocket Breeze - Very cool app to keep everything organized. IM+ - Allows me to be signed in to Google Talk, AIM, YIM and MSN all at the same time (although it is slightly on the expensive side). Also I am using the trial version of Agenda Fusion, seems like a really cool PIM so far, but not to sure if it is worth the purchase yet. |

I tried it today all day, it worked like a charm. I made calls, and after hangup MVC would stop. Since you only need it to use MVC to make outgoing calls, u don't need to use this all the time. But when u do, one button, I held it down, Bt SoundON, quick release, press again, and bingo MVC over BT. I love it. I know keep the BT SoundOFF.exe file on my first menu item, incase I need to turn it off, cause it only turns off MVC after you make a call, or get a call. Try loading BT SoundOn, before a game, you will get sound via BT too. Great game sound tool if your in area where u want to look busy, but ur really playing a game. Good |

Earlier I was listening to WMP through my BT headset and it sounds decent considering its Mono. EDIT: I found something in the MDA FAQ about using it directly instead of the built in dialer and it works! |

It just seems logical to use button 4 for MVC, and Button 4 (Hold) for BT AudionON. It makes this procedure simple. You hold button 4 to trigger BT soundON, let go, then press button 4 to trigger MVC via BT. The entire procedure becomes simple this way. It's almost scary as if it was designed to do just that, if necessary. Why would that not work for u? As far as sounds over BT using BT SoundOn, sure, it's going to be mono at best. The whole purpose of the feature is to get sound on BT for private reasons. I had SkyForce going on BT the other day in an office waiting, and this game has really great stereo effects. I had to lower the speaker level on MDA, and got the BT sounding pretty decent for mono. At least I could hear the effects without disturbing anyone. |

I could've tried the SkyForce with BT sound on but I had to uninstall it to install VC, however, the SNES emulator I have sounds awesome over BT I know have something to do during WEX-101! I'm now using that redirect in the MDA FAQ (the one I posted in the edit before) and it seems to be working well...except for the inconsistency after the call but the remedy to that is easy. I use one of the following: either I hold the Button #4 or I activate BTAudioON through VC (I placed it in the Start menu) by just saying "Start BTAudioON". I am satisfied with the mono sound for now but whenever the infamous A2DP comes around I am sure as hell going to get BT Headphones I have noticed though that since I did that redirect from SDDialer.exe to voicecmd.exe it hasn't been recognizing accurately some of my commands maybe because there was other noise or something... |

Hey let me ask u a question. When u soft boot the MDA, does it take a long time to reboot for u? Cause man, I can reboot a table top pc faster and the MDA is still rebooting. Drives me crazy to have to soft boot. Also do u have a file in startup called CapNotify? What is it for? |

I'm pretty sure it does this -- I know, for example, that when you add program or lnk files in the start menu path, VC doesn't know about them until your soft reset -- so I'm guessing it goes through the same process for your address book too. Parsing and analyzing the names in real-time wouldn't be practical on a device like this, so I'm convinced it must be preprocessing them. I have about 200 names in my address book -- it yours is much bigger, it could take longer to process.
CapNotify is a program that, I believe, runs in the background that works along with the registry mod to show when your keyboard is in caps or lowercase mode. The reg key is: HKCU\ControlPanel\Keybd\EnableIndicator ...and you would set it to "1" to display the caps indicator (or the "dot" when you're using the "alternate function" shift key -- bottom left on kybd). |

It's weird, if I get close to the router, when signal is almost 100%, I get the IP, but when I go to other side of house, signal is still good about 49%, but don't get IP. So hooked up my old DLink 802.11b and no problems. Weird. I dissabled everything on that G router, left it un incrypted, still no IP assignment. What do u think, before I return it. Also is there any fact to this. If you hack the registry and change the defaults 802.11.b to 802.11G, does it really make a difference? Cause we have a 200MHZ CPU? Cause here is the observation I made. Using Wi-Fi Companion I can see I'm connected at 11Mbps on b only router. But when Im connected to the 802.11G there is no rate in Mbps for it. One reason is the Wi-Fi rate only goes up to 11Mbps, and I guess it does not know what to make of faster speed. Whats ur feeling on this and the CPU when accessing the Internet in G. Food for thought troops |

at the new MDA Vario II displayed at Celbeit coming out this year. I am happy to say that most features have not changed drastically enouph to upgrade any time soon
. The RAM is still 64MB, the ROM is still 128MB, the 802.11G on the Vario II, is available on the Vario with a hack, bluetooth is still 2.0. The only real differences the CPU has gone from 200MHZ to 300MHZ, the unit is 3G, but in this country that's still long way off, I believe. The camara has gone from 1.3 megapixel to 2.0. It looks very similar in design, nothing seriously changed, still slide out KB, actually the Vario, I believe, has better looking style then Vario II. They slightly modified some bottons a bit, nothing drastic, just looks a little more boxier then the current MDA Vario which has smoother look.

Also - assuming the company stays in business, your invisibleShield has a lifetime replacement warranty if it ever scratches or fails, and they'll send you a new one BEFORE you send in the old one. A bit pricey, but in the scheme of things it seemed to make sense.
I posted a few days ago that I had come across another company that claims to be using the same kind of film to make their shields, and they only charge something like $4.50. From what I can tell, the film is made by 3M, and is probably the same stuff (or very similar) used to make the invisible skins for the front end of cars to prevent dings and scratches (replaces the need for bras on the front of cars). So there's no magic about the material -- in theory, any company could decide to get it by the roll from 3m and go into business die-cutting it for devices like the MDA. I just think it's an excellent choice of materials. Note -- no guarantee that the cheaper company ("BestSkinsEver") is using the same film that ShieldZone uses for invisibleShield -- just the implication on BestsSkinsEver website. But it's plausible... The company selling the shields for $4.50 does NOT provide the "application solution" (which I believe is just slightly soapy water, which you can make up yourself with a bit of liquid detergent), and they don't include a lifetime warranty. They might be great, but it appears to be a brand new or home-based teensy business. Hopefully they'll make it and grow, but they're not as substantial in appearance as ShieldZone. If you want to take a chance and check them out, they're at: http://www.bestskinsever.com/servle...Cingular/Detail Re: the 120x miniSD -- WOW! Great price and speed! ![]() Interesting product that Drypack. Here is a crazy solution if ur cell/pda/ppc drops in water for a few hours, and believe me, weird as this sounds, it worked. Although u have to apply this immediately! If ur cell/pda/ppc (no guarantee but better than nothing) drops in water (like river, beach) for a while, get small container ASAP, and emerge device in rubbing alcahol for one hour or so, then immediately place device in freezer over night. Crazy! Yes, but this came from an angineer in cell phones, and believe it or not, my nextel phone was dead on arrival after river and 3 days of not knowing what to do with it. After this solution, it actually got power and turned on. I was amazed! I simply felt I waited too long to try it, cause when I opned up the case the electronics were corrupted. Not sure what happens with this old tails remedy but alcahol, rubbing type, does something to restore the electronics, and freezing over night, well, im convinced from phone death to life, that had I applied it right away, would have given my phone life again. ![]() |

Why for the life of me does MS have to constantly change things, like changing furniture around in hellen keller's home. Why not leave things that work alone, and expand into new frontiers with new never seen features. Sorry man got to let out a little heat! |

Anything u can share on that would be helpfull, cause I don't really want to cold boot just to see, but I don't want surprises if away from hotsync. I am that kind of person.
it did not work. He did not do his job and jepourized my family life! Anyway, call me crazy, but it made the point and his manager was shocked! Needless to say, they were very concerned about this guy. Imagine the liability on that!

Looks like I am going to have to get SBP backup if you like it that much. Having issues with contact breeze and some other issues with a couple reg tweaks I did and had to hard reset again. Takes me about an hour to get everything on my MDA and most of the settings setup before going into my voice dialing recordings and such. |

I may not really need the overhead that something like ContactBreeze adds -- I noticed, for instance, that it takes quite a while when it first loads my contacts from pocket outlook, and one of the "tweaks" the ContactBreeze allows you to set determines when it does this load - 3 options as I recall, something to the effect of "once at startup", "dynamically" and one other -- they recognize that there's a tradeoff between responsiveness when you're using the app and the desire to kept ContactBreeze up to date if you make changes during the day.
Anyway - with voice command, I wonder if I really need contactbreeze at all now. Also - I like Wisbar Advance...but it may also turn out to be overkill. Jury's still out so far on that. I need a task manager for switching and really exiting apps (instead of just minimizing), I like having an easily accessible battery and memory meter, and it's nice to be able to skin the task bar. Just not sure if I can't accomplish all this using less resources, so I can get back some of the responsiveness of the device with nothing installed... |
The other neat thing is, if you lock it, MSVoicecommand still works on the assigned button. Another good idea. I don't know about u guys, but sometimes weird things happens to my MDA, like the phone dialer pops up, or Spb backup kicks in. Almost like something takes over the device, but it's only cause something was pressed by accident, especially my leather case, it's a tite fit and anything can happen with buttons. Good to know these little things, cause it makes ur life happy!

For example, I had Spb plus loaded and for reasons not sure, after any soft reset the icons would stay solid for a while, before allowing me to use them, but all else would work. When I started to reload everything using the technique I stated in previous post, Spb works great, and my system is functioning better. What I really like about Spb Plus, is you can costomize the tabs with icons you really use daily, right on the desktop. If you are using applications, you can always go to the today screen, open up something else, back to today screen, and click on icon for previous app, and you feel your really multitasking. I have looked at your applications after u posted them, and for the most part, I am feeling content with what I got, cause everything is working good, and the reviews on these applications, like Spb plus are excellent.

But I really do think I've overburdened the MDA now. It's not really bad, but I think I'm pushing it to the brink of being too sluggish.
What I don't know is which of the apps -- and which combination of apps -- really causes the drag on the system. Is it Wisbar? or PocketBreeze? ContactBreeze or iLauncher? I know that MS Voice Command slows down the initial boot up -- but that generally doesn't happen during the day, and I really don't want to think of doing without Voice Command, so that's non-negotiable. Re: looks and skinning - if it turns out that other apps are better for what I'm doing, or if Wisbar is really putting a drag on the system, I can always live with a good WM5 theme to get a nicer look. Not sure what I'm going to do about this...enjoying the MDA, but I know I can get it configured better... |

I havnt tested the speed of most of the apps I just put on my card, but I do install my games on my card and they have always seamed to run pretty good to me. That was with my 256 60x minisd. The new one being a 2G 120x i think they will run just fine. My storage went from 8m to a little over 18.5M. On a seperate note, if anyone is ever needing a screenshot of their MDA http://www.pocketpcfreewares.com/en/index.php?soft=552 this is what I use. You have to be connected to activesync for it to work though. I am still looking for a standalone screenshot app that can be done without being connected to activesync. |

I haven't tried overclocking yet -- I'm considering giving it a try, as many people report that it improves performance with only a tiny hit on battery life. Also -- re battery life. Wow -- since upgrading to 2.17 ROM and tweaking my backlight settings, and also being more aware of when I have my BT and WiFi radios on or off, I'm doing MUCH better. Example: today was an easy day. I worked at my home office until about 9:30am, unplugged my MDA from the ISB cable and headed out for a meeting. Made perhaps six or seven calls today, most were less than 10 minutes, and 2 were closer to 20 minutes. I answered 3 calls as well and stayed on for perhaps 10 to 15 mins for each of these. I woke the phone up to change profiles 6 or 7 times today - at least. Consulted my calendar a couple of times also. Anyway - here I am at 11:40pm: phone unplugged for 14 hours, and although it hasn't be heavy phone use, it was typical for me. I just checked, and was blown away to see my main battery at 92%. Major reasons for the improvment: - ONLY have BT and WiFi on when I'm using them - 2.17 ROM - Changed backlight timout to 1 minute when I'm running on the battey - Put the phone to "sleep" after 3 minutes of inactivity Amazing...never expected to see the battery hold this much charge after 14 hours. |

One of the things you can do is to back up your current firmware to your miniSD card, and also keep a copy of the full T-Mobile distribution -- same as the one on your phone -- on your PC ready to fall back to. You CAN go back to the original ROM. So far, with all the posts I've read from dozens of people who have done this, the only issues seem to happen once in a great while when people don't take full precautions. Even then, it seems that they can recover by following a more conservative route on the second try (e.g., remove the miniSD, remove the battery, remove the SIM, replace the battery, use hardware buttons to put phone in boot loader mode, use separate CID Unlocker, reflash with stock ROM, reflash with custom ROM). Seems that 99% of the time such a complex process is NOT needed at all -- but for those few who ran into trouble, this kind of process DID let them recover. The ONLY people I'm aware of who might have more trouble did not CID unlock first. When you attempt to load one company's distribution on another company's branded hardware, CID locking is designed to block this based on the company code. Just their little way of trying to keep customers using the branded version of the firmware. Forcing a ROM overwrite from one company's branded firmware to another company's branded hardware without CID unlocking is asking for disaster. But this is totally unnecessary if you simply make sure to ACCEPT the offer to CID unlock your phone as the first step. I really was worried about doing this to my MDA, but after the fact, I'm really glad I went ahead and did it. It was SO quick and painless, and the phone simply works better now. |

Doesnt seam to slow down anything else though. I now have 3 less tabs on my Pocket plus. I added a few things to the start menu that i have found I use but not enough to warrant putting them onto the tray launcher. Im still working on a couple of the icons. Sorry about the small size of the image. Damn forums would only let me upload a 14.6K file. they need to bump that up to about 25K. NM removed it and hosted the pic on my photobucket account. This link is to a full size image now http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d...k/display_1.jpg Now that I have that installed and setup the way I want (with exception to the two icons) Im going to do a backup then try installing agile messenger. Think this might make it a bit easier to connect and see the screen when I am plugged in. |

Hey Jonazen whats up with the 2.18 version ROM now. And what's up with this A2DP? |
I had a late night - Tuesday is "martial arts" night for us - my daughter has a class she goes home - then I'm there with my son for his class, and he says while I practice. Just got home and got my son to sleep. Tough workout tonight, and my hands are already stiff - probably worse tomorrow - which ought to be interesting, as I've got two really important meetings up in NYC. Hopefully I won't need my hands much for them...

Since its a 2G card Im not really too worried about running out of space, so letting aWizard backup to my sd is quite alright. Also, do you have any problems with your apps that you have installed(ie...wifi companion and such) and does it still have pocket MSN and the IM software. I'm pretty sure I can get the OZ IM software online somewhere. |
I have been online with no issues, and getting email via outlook no problem. Your 2 Gig card will be WIPED OUT! The backup process relies on a dedicated SD card, I believe. That is why on that link I gave u, the guy talking about the process says, use a 128MB card as a sacrafice in case u need to restore ur old ROM for warranty purpose.

I still don't know what went wrong, however, the reason why I posted it was so that people find a way to recover from the data crashes error if they encounter it. |

Well When I bought my 2G card I gave my daughter my 256M card for her phone. Maybe i can talk her into giving me her 128M for my backup card. You didnt say if pocket MSN was working though. I was pretty sure I read that the IMs (aim and yahoo) weren't working but I havnt read anything about pocket MSN. I am seriously leaning towards doing this. As long as I can get the device to reload the backed up TMO ropm and EXT ROM, Im ok with it I guess. Another little tidbit of info. I had that error where I got the three color screen after a reboot a few weeks ago. I couldnt get away from it. It kept going to just that screen. If you EVER need to do a hard reset and the device hasnt totally booted up yet, hold the comm button and the voice record button and hit soft reset at the same time. Continue to hold the comm and voice button until the prompt to hard reset comes up. Hit the green talk button and you are good to do. |

Tough workout tonight, and my hands are already stiff - probably worse tomorrow - which ought to be interesting, as I've got two really important meetings up in NYC. Hopefully I won't need my hands much for them... ![]() Not sure re: the 2.18 ROM. At first, it sounded like only the Chinese version was available - which wouldn't have been much help to me. Thought I saw a post about the WWE version this afternoon (English), but I'm not sure - will have to go back and check. But I believe it's "a la carte" - no extended ROM features, so if we want the T-Mobile customizations we'd have to add those back by hand using individual cabs (I haven't tried assembling my own extended ROM yet). I don't know if there's anything new there at all. Also probably worth waiting for something later than .18... Actually enjoying the thought that there are enough companies putting out these Wizard variants (such as Dopod, QTek, K-Jam, T-Mobile, Cingular, etc) that we can probably look forward to updated ROM's coming out for a while. We may see several upgrades over the next 6 to 9 months. Before they stop coming out with new firmware for this model, I imagine we might see a 3.0 version with full-fledged A2DP stereo bluetooth, memory leaks all fixed up, uninstaller problems fixed and the roaming/preferred nets issue resolved -- maybe even before they get all the way to 3.0... Still no word back from Howard or any HoFo admins? Frustrating! Maybe if you scan this forum you can find a link to let you contact a moderator -- might be a starting point to get you in touch with somebody who can help with your username and email issue. |
. First time I see someone else with one. So I pointed him to HOFO and XDA. Both these guys were just regular JOE's, u know email only. In conversatin with the 700W guy, he said, "I am not that into it, but can't live without it". But hacking is not something I would get into, he said. I said, what if you upgrded your wireless LAN to 802.11G, ur device can only communicate at 8011.b, but has the tehnology to use 802.11g, what would u do? He said, I'm not sure, I guess. I said, hack it baby!! U have the power of G not only B. The point was well made.
. Even on the my-mobile.com site, if you log on, it shows ur phone, and support for it, but on top of that is a little link that says, "not ur phone", or something like that, you can change it and get the support links to it. Why cause TMO understand this, their in the business of SIMMS, not phones. They know people change phones all the time without their knowledge, and they could care less.
But things keep popping up on me when I least expect them or need them. This causes me a little issue, need to lock device, and

However, the little lock on the top left corner of the page is "locked". Any ideas? If this is a secure website, how do I access it? Thanks.........Anthony |

I guess the version of Agile I was using before was an older one. I downloaded the newest version yesterday and I think I like it alot better. Another question. Is it ok to unlock CID and backup the ROM and EXT ROM without doing a ROM Flash? I thought maybe I would try and do this one step at a time. LOL I think I feel ok about unlocking CID and backing up the ROM and EXT ROM, not quite at the point where I am OK with flashing the ROM yet. |

Well I could not use PIE on Movies.com cause I got same msg this guy got on yahoo. I tried the PIE tweak, still same. You know what solved it?? The new 2.17 ROM upgrade. I just tried PIE again on movies.com, and to my surprise, it worked. Movies.com did not ask me to upgrade.
Food for thought boys.. |

It is the best browser experience in the market. Try it, it's free beta and works beautiful on MDA, and you will not have to pay for it for 2 months. You can also try NetFront, or Thunderhawk, for my money, FREE at moment, Opera is second to none. I can't do things with PIE I can easily with Opera. Opera has a bar at bottom of screen which shows your uploading web files, so that you know it's working fast, unlike PIE which has that annoying moving window, and u never really know what the heck it's doing and slow as molases. When I was going to movies.com with PIE I would get thrown into a screen to upgrade, to a better PIE, or other browsers, one of the recomendations was OPERA. http://www.opera.com/|

For those that are sending me private msgs, I like to elaborate cause Im originally from NYC like Jonazen, and ulness u tell me to shot up
I am going to keep on talking.
, cold boot, like i3onk mentioned earlier, is a process which is different from soft booting (which is like reset on a computer) on iPaq's like the h6315, you don't loose what's on ROM, UNLIKE WM5 MDA where you will loose all your apps in ROM storage. So backups, like Spb Backup, are even more critical on WM5, cause it copies everything in ROM (like mirror).
you loose Nothing in ROM! But on the iPaq you loose all your ROM storage. So which is better?
If you loose your battery life, you loose nothing, or if you cold boot, you loose your ROM? There is good in everything, of course, but if you have good backups on your MDA, you still loose nothing on ROM? And you better have a new battery source. Folks, I like the idea of rather loosing nothing when you Cold Boot, like the iPaq. Or better yet, both is cleary the winner, loose nothing on battery life, and nothing on cold boot in ROM. But I rarely ever use up my battery life on these devices. If you like me, and I hope we have something else in common, I have car chargers for everything I carry. I don't get in my car without plugging things in. As a family we plug ourselves in the vehicle to all our little gadgets. I have one rule of thumb in my vehicle, you don't get in and play around with your gadget, unless your using car battery power, or don't complain to me, that your little life gadget is dead, and if I my MDA battery does go dead, hopefully I was smart enouph to have done full backups, and nightly custom backups of my contacts, email, yada yada. I find myself, messing with these devices, cold booting more than I like. MDA backups make up for it.

I've tried to do soft resets, but it still happens!!! |
not sure why this is since the roms are almost identical, but the newest qtek rom seemed to solve the issue.

I used the RUU program, and it did not backup up Bootloader, Radio and Extended Rom. RUU did everything for me in one easy step. It unlocked and upgraded. But I believe Jonazen took the step your about to take. And frankly I am running the software to see what happens, but first I want to look at the 1.2 version and see the readme file, cause it's not the beta one. |

Anyway...no - I, too, took the lazy, risky way out -- I did NOT back up the ROM first, and I ran the custom 2.17 installer, letting it do the unlock up front for me, and then load the qtek 2.17 ROM and then the select customizations that xelencin included. That was it - I didn't do anything else... |
I wonder if there is issue with calender reminder popops, while rebooting? reminder popups should at least wait for reboot sequence. Right? Thank goodness for Spb Backup, cause I may have to cold boot, and select custom restore and only restore system data, avoiding contacts, calender, etc, so that I can get back in system, then restore latest daily contacts, calender, and dissable that feature, bummer. with all this experimental crap I keep doing, I'm becoming a pro at cold booting & swiftly restoring. The only thing slowing me down, is that cut and past tutorial crap.

makes me feel alittle easier about the ROM flash, knowing I unlocked without screwing anything up

Hey, I have tried that darn splash utility. I created a bmp by taking the one on site and trowing into my paint program, but every time I do this, the darn splash utility goes into motion resets my MDA, but don't get nothing. I had named the bmp jay.bmp, but renamed it splash.bmp, and put it in same folder as the utility, whats up with these, what did u do? Can i name the folder anything, or it has to be the name the link says.... |
