SP5M switchboard problem??? Please advise

Does anyone have an idea about this situation? SP5 or SP5M owners only...
When dialing a number, say if there is double digits (77, or 11, or 33, or 66, etc) does anyone have a problem where only one number is picked up and recognized by the phone when you are dialing? Example, when you dial 077549257, only 07549257 shows on the screen...so the second 7 wasn't noticed... or say 0018708573311 is dialed, but 00187085731 is picked up and shows on screen?

I thought at first I might have been typing too fast, but this has not ever been a problem for other smartphones or any other handsets I've tried, so I've tried slowing down a bit and it still happens, but not as bad. Could this be a switchboard problem or keypad problem, or are the imate devices just slow when it comes to dialing these double digits when entering the phone number?
Likewise, has ANYONE else noticed this with their device?

It was explained to me it couldn't be a hardware fault as every key works fine....just sometimes not in succession (one time after the other with the same key, unless you slow down typing a little).... It turned out that I had programs running, and after using the task manager to end programs running.... no more problem. So it was a software issue and that the programs was just slowing the system down a little.
