Is there enough difference between the Treo 700w and the rest of the Palm OS devices, to warrent a seperate forum under the Smartphone/PDA Forum? I'm not trying to start any trouble, but I just upgraded my 650 to a 700w, and I have to search through the Palm OS forum, looking for tidbits. I noticed that there are, in fact, a lot of tidbits, maybe enough to justify a seperate forum, or maybe a sub-forum within Palm OS. Just my thoughts, what does everyone else think?

i personally think 700w discussion belongs in the Pocket PC forum. because even though it is a Palm produced device, it is actually a pocket pc. not a palm-based PDA

Exactly. It is not a palm os device, which is the name of this forum. A good place is the pda sub forum under the verizon wireless forum. Everything there is the xv6700, or 700w, both WM5 deices.

Absolutely.

There's plenty difference between the 700w and the 650/600. They're COMPLETELY different. One runs PALM OS the other PPC OS.

Any discussion re: the 700w belongs in the Pocket PC forum.

My opinion you should be able to order with windows or palm OS. It's the same hardware and you order the OS pay for the license and if you want to switch you pay for the other OS license or trade it in.
