This was the response from Cingular regarding this.

Thank you for taking the time to e-mail Cingular Wireless regarding
your
unlock codes. I am happy to help you with your inquiry.
Due to an ongoing issue with retrieving the unlock codes for this
handset we are unable to process this at this time. We are continuing
to
attempt to retrieve this. We will inform you when this is successful.
