Is there a tab button on the treo 650? And more questions...

I just got mine today and am having fun learning it. I know I will have several questions, but this is a quick one. I was on the web at yahoo and when I went into the login area I could put my username in but could not get out of the little box to go to the password area. Is there a tab button?

Also...in FileZ it says I should be able to use the 5 way navigation button, but It only scrolls the page...cannot select files.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

There's no dedicated tab button, but clicking the d-pad to the right should outline the text box in blue, and hitting right again should make it go to the second box. That's what it's always done for me anyways :P

There is 2 ways to view web pages:

Wide mode - You ned to use the touchscreen to select links/textboxes.

Optimized mode - You can use left/right to jump between links/textboxes.

At the top of the page you can toggle between the 2 modes.

Thanks guys. I have tried this and it will not do that. May be just a yahoo thing. Hopefully it is not my phone, but I don't think it would be.

Thanks

On optimized mode left/right won't jump links? Very very strange. It has nothing to do with the site you are on, it is a feature built into the Treo. Are you sure you are on optimized mode? if you have just entered your user ID (hit OK if you were in a popup text box) hit right and it will bring you to the text box you are on, hit right again and it will bring you to the next link (presumably password entry). It acts this way on every single site. Try re-selecting optimized mode, because if it is simply scrolling left/right then you are still on Wide mode.

I made sure I was in optimized load last night but it would not work. I went back in today and it worked fine. I must have done something wrong late yesterday...oh well..

Thanks for everyones answers.
