Encoder This is Free no limits and works great. I'm using the 3g2 (Sony Ericsson) setting for my A950 and works great. I got sound Audio Pops on Some files I rip from DVD but Internet ones seem to work fine. I have not gotten a Quicktime file to convert yet thou. Like to get some Feedback on making smaller file sizes. I'm getting about a meg a min. right now.]

God Bless
Enjoy!

sweet! thanks!

I used the super g recorder also, did you need to have the directshow box checked for it to work on the a950?

Posted by: amigaice

I just used the 3g2 (Sony Ericsson) setting and it worked.

I use ImTOO 3GP Video Converter. It converts the files to a proper 3g2 file with stereo sound. There is minimal loss in video quality and the compression is amazing. I ripped my Star Wars EP 3 DVD, a 3 hour movie, into a 150mb file with this program. I ripped it with dvd decrypter and then converted the single vob file to 3g2. The program is not free but the serial is easily found on the net.
The demo is free to download. It offers near full functionality. If you can locate a serial, this will unlock the demo.

can anyone give me some advice as to the 3GP options?

choice of video codec? bit rate?
audio codec? bit rate? and default sample rate is 8K isn't that a little low?

I'm still trying to figure out this video thing.....The only thing I can't seem to get is my audio to match up with the video. I'm using ImTOO. Is there special settings I have to use or should I just try another program? Thanks

I hv 3gp converter.. it works like a charm for my LG VX9800 .. but by wife and brother have a Samsung 950 ... that doesn't support 3gp .. need to convert to 3g2 for samsung .... and 3gp converter doesn't do that

tried IM Too once .. seemed ok.. but quality was nowhere near 3gp with 3gp converter on LG .. maybe its the conversion software or it's the phone itself ... or the format.

Again.. anyplace i can find older version of IM Too .. not the free 3GP converter

Amigaice, thanks a ton for that link. I've tried IM Too but it didnt work well with me. Also searching the net hasnt produced any freeware for me. Because of this forum, my phone (sch-a950) has become my favorite toy. I have Eddy Murphie's Delirious complete on my phone with a few other videos and a ton of Ringtones. I'm at work atm but when I get in front of my PC I will find out if I figured out how to get pics and vids on to my hd. Thanks a ton all.

Try yasa 3gp video converter. It works great on converting videos to 3gp formats. I always use it.

3GP_Converter does 3G2.

Code:

3gp converter definately does do 3g2, also you don't need to find an old version of the software, instead take bigslam12345's advice and download the free version, and look for the serial online it's not that hard to find a keygen for any of the imTOO products if you look

Can anyone give the step by step procedures for converting video to 3gp, 3g2, mpeg4, etc. with Super? I'm having trouble getting the sound and video to align.

Posted by: DRKPablo

Whats the difference between 3gp and 3g2 and will my 9800 play 3g2?

Posted by: amigaice

Should work in the default setting for 3g2. As long as it's not Quicktime

Posted by: Pep12

I'm having the same problem. I can't get the video and audio to match up!

It's shouldn't, Are you using the 3g2 (Sony Ericsson) default setting? Check the audio section and make sure the audio is checked. Also you might have to turn off Direct Show for some video files.

Posted by: eliTe.Br0nc0

ok but is it possible to convert from 3gpp2 to avi or mpg w/o losing sound.. that is what i am trying to do.. that is why i was thinking i wasnt getting sound because it wasnt possible to convert to that format and keep the sound.. so is that possible.

Posted by: amigaice

not sure why you would need to do this for your phone??

Posted by: moosc

OK I'm new at this but i heard that i can put a movie on that little memory card couple questions what size card do i need for a movie like star wars, dukes of hazard etc? also is there a step instructions to do this step any special equipment that i need thanks

Posted by: amigaice

Slap your uncopy protected vobs into super and let it encode. DVD's break VOBs up and I would use there system for long movies. Can't really fast forward on the phone.
