While my 1 day old E1 is charging its backlight stays on and the rythmn lights pulse.

I've tried using the "display off" in options but it doesnt work.

I did a search and couldnt find anything regarding this.

So if anyone could help that'd be great.

Is it an issue on all E1's or just mine and can I turn it off?

I had the same problem on my V635. The outer display wouldn't shutoff. My ROKR didn't have that problem though. Are you using a MOTO RAPID CHARGER?

I'm using the one that came in the box which has MODEL - PSM5049A on it.

It says "Motorola AC Power Supply".

Also, can I create folders for the videos and photo sections?

AND!

My XP Professional machine says "Doesnt recongnise device". Any help? or Drivers?

Fixed the drivers part of it...

But still have 2 questions.

Can you make folders under Videos and Photo's?

And...

I tried my Dad's T720 in my charging and his backlight stayed on aswell, so then i tried my ROKR on his charger and my backlight turned off!

Should I take it back on warranty? (I got it 2 days ago so replacement wont be a problem).

ALSO!

When the backlight turns off (not display) is it REALLY hard to see? Because frankly to me its like the exact same as just turning the screen off, i can *faintly* see my background.

So is that normal?

I actually don't know if you can make subfolders under audio and video... It wouldn't harm anything to try, though.

The phone will have the rhythm lights stay on when on a rapid charger. The reason the t720 charger doesn't is because its a slow charger... it'll take a LOT longer to charge on that charger. I don't know of any way to change that, I don't think a replacement will make a difference.

All Motorola phones are almost impossible to see when the backlight is off. Because of that, I always turn the backlight AND the display timeout to the same length, so the screen turns off at the same time the backlight does.

Yeah thats wht im inqurining about the backlight staying on suring charging...

I think there might be something wrong with my USB Cable, Phone Connection and my AC Charger and its less than 72hours old

So this problem was out of the box, it didnt worsen over time.

Ask for a replacement you reckon?
