E815 phone freeze

I recently froze up my phone (an E815) by accidentally loading a zipped skin to my phone instead of the unzipped version. The phone locked up while trying to load the skin and now all my phone will do is blink on and off on the main logon screen. I know hacking the phone voids the warranty but if I can't get the correct files loaded so that my phone can find those files and come out of it's frozen state, which I'm told can be done to fix the phone with one of the charging USB cables, than can Motorola replace a chip in my phone to fix it or am I SOL on this thing and stuck having to buy a new one? If it can't be fixed, anybody know of a cheap place to get an E815 without a plan so I can transfer my number and contract over to the other phone? Any information on this situation would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
