E398 bluetooth problem with nonmotorola PC software?!

Well, I don't know why, but I cant use 3rd party phone management software with my E398@ROKR.
WHat's the trick?
It seems that there is serial port service enabled in the phone (there is modem, but no serial port), and programs such as Multiedit need serial port...
Is there any way?
Seem edit?
I don't understand Motorolas stupid policy to disable features allready present in the phone because of reasons known only to them (probably to the guys in marketing depatment)?!
