Treo 650 rom update wierdness

I just replaced my treo 650 that had a defective keyboard and updated my rom to the most up to dat cingular rom. I tried to sinc the new treo with my old info and it created a looping reset (scary to see it for the first time) and I figured it was because of different roms. I updated the rom and the sinc went smoothly, however, I don't have dun activated with the new rom. I don't know how this is possible. If anyone knows what happened please let me know.
