HELP PLS. My V3 hangs on Ring style volume 7

Hi all

When i switch on my V3, the display shows "ring Style volume 7" Any key I press, it just brings that same message up.

I still receive calls on it, but cannot do anything else .

Hope someone can help.

Have you tried taking the battery out then putting it back in?

Thanks, but have searched n00b and read the manual many times. There is nothing in there about this error

Has the phone been messed with? That will likely help the experts diagnose your issue. If it just all of a sudden happened one day, versus after a seem edit it started acting up. Makes a huge difference.

Just started happening. every now an again I can use it after fiddling with battery and sim card etc, but then it comes up with the ring style message again

I have the same problem with my V3. It happened after the first 2 weeks of use out of the blue. Once the phone became useless, I sent it to Motorola. The phone was returned 2 weeks late with new software and problem solved, for 3 days. I sent the phone back with a detailed description and got it back in 1 week with a note saying the phone was fine. They returned it "Locked"! It took me 1 week to get the subsidy code, turned on the phone and it locked up on the ring volume menu. I will call Motorola next week when I have time and will demand a new phone. If there is another solution, please let me know! Thanks!
