Flasing

Hi - I finally got a flash file R474_G_08.48.6DR_Lang003_reflash_AnalogTrail_prope r_ver .sfx file. Now, is this meant for the Motorola V635 because someone posted it up in my V635 U.S. question thread. Now, does this one work well? I need to solve one big problem and I'm fine; keep service in areas with more than one tower around because my service sucks in that situation. Do I need to flash with some other file first for this to work, or just this? I just got the phone, so nothing is done to it. Finally, how do I go about flashing it and installing it on the phone.

you've essentailly asked the same question in your other post:

I know - I didn't mean to ask about actually flashing here; I just want to know if it'll help my service problem, because if it won't, there's no reason to even go ahead and flash the phone.

Ok. I'm new to this game. I'm from Romania.I bought my V635 and it has the old version of software 24R. That means 1 min of video recording and all the ugly stuff. I wana flash it but I don't know how. Downloaded some monsterpacks and the Flashbackup 2.62. I don't wana ruin my phone so I need a manual, some instructions, and lots of advices. I want to know as well if flashing can be done via bluetooth or only by USB. Thanks. mail adress the_bendix@yahoo.com

Thanks 4 the info. It is very usefull. But going thru the threads I discovered that you can use other programs for flashing not only the RSD Lite, others are using the Flashbackup. I read that Flashbackup can create a backup file to witch u can revert if you dont like what u are getting. It sounds very safe to me. What is your opinion? Have you compared them? And another question- there are other monsterpacks not only the 88R, do I have to go thru al those paces for them too? That's why i started the other thread, I need lots of opinion. I'm quite tehnical and I'm not that young

I think I sortted out those issues to. Flashbackup is better used for reflashes, wright? And those other monsterpacks are reflashes. I need some links to were can i download those programs and the the 6DR and 88R packs. In case I don't find them myself. Or better you can send them pls to me via e-mail

i've only used Flashbackup for making backups which can restore your phone (which i've never needed to do)...i don't think it's best for reflashes...you'd still use something like RSD Lite...another program you can use is MFF (MultiFlashFlex)...flashing and reflashing are done the same way...i've used MFF and don't mind it...others say RSD Lite is easier to use, but i have no experience (i stay with the familiar )...

cannot post links to ANY of this software, per the rules...however, google is your friend...i do not own a v635 so i can't comment on the different version of flashes...maybe ask that question in the v635 flashing guide thread that i posted...

Googled a lot. Damn RSD Lite is a very hard program to find indeed. Found a version that wouldn't install and now i finnaly found one that works. The only problem is that it is in Italian Hope it will work. Weel if this site doesn't alow it u can still send it to me via e-mail. I won't mind. Where can I find the requierd monsterpacks? On motox or do I have to google for them 2?

^^ i haven't gone through the v635 flashing thread, but i think they are listed in there...and if for some reason the MP link is dead, just ask someone to repost it, they will...
