Some confusion about bluetooth and voice dialing on 650

I am not quite sure how this works on the 650. I installed a program once that you didn't train, it just tried to decipher your voice and failed 80% of the time. I always ended up calling the wrong person. Will that work over BT?

The way I'd prefer to do it is I guess what you call voice tags. On my motorola, I could assign voice names to all of my contacts, hit a button, repeat that name and it would dial, even over BT.

It is my understanding that the 650 will do zilch for voice dialing over BT. Am I correct?

Unfortunately, this is correct.

Is there any software that is even a "half-*****" work around? Or does it have something to do with the profiles which shadowmite says it next to impossible to hack.

There is no way to perform voice activated dialing with the palm devices using a bluetooth headset.

On the other side of that...I have had 3 phones with blue tooth headset and none of them were that great at voice dialing through the headset. Get any type of background noise and you can forget it and even without noise it was still a 50/50 chance. I remeber trying over and over again to get it to work instead of it saying "Did not register..please try again" and realizing that I could have dialed the number, had the conversation and been on my way in the time I spent trying to get it to dial the number correctly. Bluetooth is just not that great for voice calling at this time...at least IMHO.
