Just got the Motorola A1000 but am having a great deal of difficulty finding any software for it especially the GPS since I really want to try that out. I believe it runs on OS v 7.0. Anyone have any suggestions?

I also have a motorola a1000. GPS devices are hard to come by based on the fact they generally need an external piece. The only problem is, this is pretty much a "UK" phone. Unless you live in the UK, GPS apps are almost non-existant. I've been unsuccessful trying to locate some programs for it but here, I've got a link for you to tons of A1000 resources.

On the second row, left, "GPS".

Thanks alot for the post. It was a good help. I will be downloading the GPS software and trying it out now. I live in Canada so I guess it would be hard to find maps for it but I'll keep looking. Got any more sources
ohh and also I couldn't find a freeware version of a video player for the A1000. Do u have any more links to that?

Try nhGPS. i have it and map is d/l from MSN and other sources. you can even construct a map by yourself (which i did).

I tried nGPS but I could never actually get the software to set points or determine routes or even location using the internal GPS. How did u manage to do that? Also u said u used maps from MSN.com ?
