What (gsm) phone would YOU get with this much money?

I have about 200 bucks sitting in paypal and I want to get a new phone. If its a little bit over my price, thats fine but i would say no more than about 30 bucks more. I've used all sorts of different phones in the past, but right now i'm primarily using my moto v620.

The only features I absolutely want are a camera and a color screen. Other than that, I don't really care. Candy bar, flip, slider, etc it doesn't matter. Basically, if you had about the same amount of money as I do, what would you buy? Thanks in advance! You guys are always really helpful.

Thats funny that you suggest that because thats been at the top of my list. I'm also looking at a 6620 because its symbian and a v635 because i think it gives you the most bang for your buck. Only worry about the v635 is that it will remind me too much of my v620.

anybody else have an opinion?

I got a new Nokia 6682 on ebay a few days ago for $240 shipped so if you don't mind dropping a little more money I'd say that's a good option.

I also was going to say the v635 .

Really? i would love that phone but last time I checked it was always selling over $300. I think you got a really good deal.

I have had both the 6620 and the v635. The v635 is my favorite MOTO of all time and the 6620...hmmm I didn't really like it. I thought it was kinda bulky and "fat" so I returned it for something else. (The battery life wasn't so good on it either) So yeah I would recommend the v635 or the k700i. I might just get a K700i later on as well.

the only reason i was even considering the 6620 was because of all the programs out there for the symbian OS. its at the bottom of my list because its just so dang ugly IMO.

now i just can't decide between the v635 and the k700i. I've got some serious thinking to do.

Posted by: a2kt1c

Hmm well the K700i does have a radio and mostly everything else on the v635 is better...Im not sure if I should go back to a v635 or a get the Sony either...I mean I really love MOTO's but I already had two of them...

Posted by: a2kt1c

Here my suggestion...if you want new UI and bar style phone I guess then get the K700i...if you still really love MOTO's and its UI and everything else about it then get the v635. You'll get better features with the v635 just same oh UI and stuff.

Eject the money to your bank account and get any camera phone from high street shop, pls don't go to ebay and waste your money spending money for old rope.

I dont know what your talking about man. EBAY is the best. I get all my phones there and have absolutely no problem whatsoever.

y not k600i?

I would say- any 3G japanese phone in the V80x series- those are generally cheap and have decent features, but require a little tweaking or extra equipment to get MP3 function working- like Sharps (V801SH, V802SH) need SD-Audio software and compatible card readers, while the Sony Ericsson (V802SE) needs its mp3 lock removed to play mp3s natively.

Avoid NEC(V80xN), though, they only make 3g+dual-band for some reason.

I'm thinking of the same and my options are: Motorola L6, i-mate SP3i, K600i, Panasonic X800, and Motorola L7 at the high end.

The SP3i is the best phone out of these and the X800 or L7 would be the coolest.

If 30MB of memory is ok for you, go for a Sony Ericsson K600i.

Posted by: JwY

i'd get a k600 or L7 (if it is that cheap?)

Posted by: cpr86

yeah, i'm seriously looking at the k600i. the l7 is a little pricey and i'm not sure if it is worth it.

k700i vs. v635 vs. k600i
totally k700i cuz i personally think the k600i looks ugly (my opinion) and i didnt like the v635 much.. nothing special about it, just another flip.
The k700i looks and feels good, medium-light weight phone and has lots of features. and furthermore the UI is soooooooooooooooo mcuh better than the motorola UI (my 0.02 once again). and it's price has been dropping steadily for many months now. it's a steal at the current price!

I would get the Moto V635. Comes with decent amount of memory (32) if you're not into mp3 on a phone. Easy to use operating system and updated features. Thena gain I'm a moto guy so i dunno.

It seems that you want the apps of symbian with the flip functionality and style of the v635. I think the 6260 would fit the range, and on ebay its not goin for very much, around the price your askin for.

I have one and it has been great. Also, right not on ebay theres a dude thats sellin it preinstalled with apps already. Those deals are the best. My sis has a v635, and to be honest, i think its underated, but it cannot compare to symbian phones at all. We switched phones one time to see wat it was like, and I got bored so fast on it.
