come on now someone knows this i just want to know can the kx13 kx160 and the kx16 take mp3 ringtones

As of now I've been able to save mp3s under saved sounds on my kx16, but not actually as a ringtone. I placed them in the ringtones folder, and they show up under sounds, ringers, but not under where you can set it as a ringtone. There's gotta be some way around it...

I know my old slider will. i have an se44 and it works using Bitpim

Yes i can get mp3 ringtones (either premade or ones i make myself) and wallpapers on my se44 using bitpim.

I have a kyocera virgin mobile slider remix - I dont think virgin lets you use your own ringtones so you have to pay them for em. I guess some of you are saying that you could do it on your old sliders but I got mine in Xmas of '05.

Anyone else have one of the ones I have from Virgin?

mediapickle- get a copy of bitpim and see if you can get into the file system by clicking on the file system view. if you can then you can put stuff onto the phone. im about to make a thred with details on how to put ringtones and wallpaper. look for the new thread "Tutorial for ringtones/wallpaper for sliders"

BitPIM doesnt recognize my phone - I am using the USB cable that came with the phone - do I need something different?

I am 100% sure that you do not have the Slider Remix because Virgin Mobile does not support the Slider Remix. Your phone is a Slider Sonic and Virgin Mobile only supoorts the Slider Sonic. Slider Sonic is totally different than the Slider Remix
