New Cingular V3, hacked for Manual Network Selection, VM Notification works!

I was weary about hacking my new V3 for the purpose of Manual Network Selection because I have heard that you start receiving all of these strange texts that your phone is supposed to intercept and interpret as VM notifications... I went ahead and hacked it and guess what? My VM notifications seem to still work fine. My V3 is pretty new, the one with the phonebook search feature. The only thing I can't seem to turn on is the Search Type feature, which is still Automatic only.

Anyone else have a phone that the VM notification works on after being hacked?

This is nothing new. Manual Network Selection has been here for awhile. Try a seem edit for the Search feature. There have been many people who have done what you have done without a problem. Do a search and you will see.

It wasn't the Manual Network Selection that I was excited about, I knew I could do that. It was the fact that afterward, my Voicemail notifications continued to come in as voicemail notifications rather than strange texts. If you do a search on the seem edits to manual network selection, you will notice there is usually a caviat that your VM notify will be hosed.
