v330: Reception was fine at home, now it sucks

I was wondering if you guys could help me out with a problem I've been having with my v330 for the last few weeks. I got the phone back in November, and for moths it got great reception in my appartment. I almost always had at least 3 bars inside, 5 outside. About three weeks ago that all changed. No when I'm inside I'm lucky if I have 1 bar and usually have none. When outside I'll get 1 bar, never 2. The phone seems to work just fine in other parts of town, just not in my appartment. To make things even more confusing, my z600 is just fine and still gets around 3 bars all the time, just like it always has.

I called T-Mobile, and they're going to have someone check out the tower in my area. But I was wondering if there was anything else I could try in the mean time. Does this sound like a network issue to you guys, or is it maybe a defective phone? It is still under warranty, so I'll probably exchange the phone if there isn't anything wrong with the tower. But if there's something I can fix on my own, obviously I would prefer that.

FYI: I've tried changing the network speed to continuous with no results.

Edit: Changed thread title to not sound so negative.

Just thought I would bump this real quick to see if anyone could respond. T-Mobile checked out the tower and found nothing wrong. I also tried forcing the phone to manual network selection with the same results. I would appreciate any kind of advice you guys can give before I try exchanging the phone for a new one.

Have you tried another phone?

If you exchange your phone via insurance or something, they might give you a refurb phone with similar or other problems. Might be wrong but it happened with my friend's razr

Well, I bought the phone back in November. I think it's a little late to exchange it for another model now. Like I said though, it was just fine until a few weeks ago.

You could try flashing it to the latest firmware (in my sig).

My software is 1DR if that helps. Flex is the same as Ender.

Have you also tried manually selecting the band frequency? I read in some posts from people who said it helped the reception significantly.
