The CE500 software is very bad with help and doesn't tell you much. Calling their help line isn't any better, they follow a script and don't know anything about the program or PC's.
Loading MP3 onto the phone - When you load the Program into your PC, you must have your virus scan disabled. What they don't tell you is that you must also have it disabled when you connect the phone to the PC via the USB cable and hit connect. What happens is that the Virus Scan program samples the com ports and prevents initialization of the Lg Music Maker. AAC doesn't work well. Converted music to MP3 works alright if you get a true MP3 conversion. I use NERO
Moving Pictures - there is no way to move pictures via the USB cable. You can move them by putting the SD card into a reader and downloading it to your PC via one of the many photo programs available.
I haven't tried the IR port yet but plan to test this also.
