This has probably been discussed before but I am brand new here...
I need advice becuase I just bought a Nokia 6236i, and I would like to put my own ringers on it. I use Freeringers.net and relay a .mp3 or .mid file. Everything works fine until I go to set it as a ringtone. Then the phone says "Invalid Application"
I heard that verizon has blocked customers from setting their own ring tones and we have to buy them from the Get It Now???
Is there any way around this? Can I use a cable for my Macintosh to download the ringtones to my phone? Please help. Thanks!!!!

You'll find much more information about the 6236i in the Verizon Nokia discussion forum. The link above outlines the process for enabling MP3 and MIDI ringtones, and shows all the problems other people have had. It is far from simple and takes some perseverance to find the necessary software on the web, which, since it is an internal Nokia tool not intended for public use, is probably only available for PC.

I too have had a problem relaying mp3's to my Verizon phone through freeringers.net. I have the VX8100. It states that the files must be 30 seconds or under and I can't for the life of me get it to relay!! Does anyone know of any solutions?
