Hi guys, sorry if this topic is already covered somewhere in the 728,000 page SLVR superthread

but i did my best searchin....

I just got my SLVR today (woot! so excited) Anyways, i got it unlocked on ebay, and i'm pretty sure i got the german version of the firmware (the pre-set text message templates are in german, etc). When i use the predictive text when typing, it looks like its always looking for the german words lol... it does find most english words, but there are some english words that it doesn't find on it's own. other than this, everything else seems fine. do i have to reflash the entire firmware to some other [english] version to get rid of this?

or is there possible some file on the phone that contains the dictionary of words, in which case i could just replace with the english dictionary, etc.

Thanks for your help in advance! this phone friggen rocks! (switching from a Sharp TM150 anything probably rocks lol)

Yes, you can change the default language for iTap, just paly a little in the message section and you'll figure it out.

Go into 'Message Center'>Create Message>New Short Message>Press Menu>Entry Setup>Primary Setup:Select iTap English
