I've learned you can't flash from certain firmware to other certain firmware. So, I have a few questions I need answered before I can go ahead and flash. First, how do I check or know what I'm currently running? I did nothing to the phone. Second, what is the latest and also best pack for the V635 currently?

Ok; why was it a waste of time? I think it's a pretty important question, considering you can't flash from certain firmware versions to others, I learned. I was asking because in all of the guides/tutorials, I haven't seen which is the newest one and how to check what your currently running.

To check what you currently have, *#9999#, or if that doesn't work, Menu -> Settings -> Phone Status -> Other Information.
