I've currently run into 2 problems I'm not sure about how to solve. First, how do I check what current firmware version I'm running (i.e. 88R). Second, in this guide I have, it says something about a TransFlash card? What is that? Does it come with the phone? Do I need it? If so, how much is it and where can I buy it?

i think your first question was answered in my PM to you and in another thread you asked...as for transflash, try google...it'll tell you what it is, how much they cost and where you can get it...(hinit: it's a little card like you'd use in your digital camera)

Yes, I tried your 9999 method, and nothing happened. I don't know if I did it write - you said type it in, so I just hit the buttons you said to just as if I was pressing buttons for a regular phone call; nothing happened.

remember, it's *#9999# (that's star, pound, 9999, pound) and not just 9999...or if that doesn't work, Menu -> Settings -> Phone Status -> Other Information...one of those should work...
