Anybody done work with these phones? I can't get bitpim or qpst to do anything!!! I was told by Bell Mobility that the phone needs a software upgrade anyway. This is just for the phone's own operation. Any techs out there have the file I might need so I don't have to wait 6 weeks for Mobility to get it done? Could it be done with qpst?

Thanks for any insight.
Ronster.

Did you get bitpim or qpst to recognize the phone? I got a a vi5225 and am having problems getting the phone to be recognized by the programs or windows. Can you tell me which drivers you used?

The usb cable I've got is for the lg 8080/8180 cdma phones. The drivers came with it. Qpst recognizes the phone but can't really do anything with it. Bitpim can't recognize the phone, but I can look at the file system. I had to get that to work so I could find the SPC. Then I could try doing things with Qpst. Bitpim can't get phone info or send anything to the phone. I have to set bitpim to other cdma phone in the settings. I'm taking the phone in to get the software upgrade. Apparently it has to be sent back to LG. So I get a crappy loaner phone for three weeks or so.

I'm having the same problems with my 5225. I can't get bitpim to see my phone but datapilot will but it won't let me d/l any songs or pics. Let me know if the update helps out.

The update doesn't help. The software on the phone now says LG540v06. It used to say v05 at the end. A thought just popped into my head. Doesn't bitpim have lg540 as a recognizeable phone. Maybe we should try that.

I've been trying different phones in BitPim but all have no luck finding my 5225.
