I was wondering about Magic Gate Duo working on my P800 as well, so I contacted SE about it and this is the response I got:

Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for contacting Sony Ericsson regarding your enquiry.

The P800 will only function with the standard Memory Stick Duo.

If we can be of any further assistance, please contact our Sony Ericsson
Customer Care Centre by telephone on 08705 237 237, option 2.

Hum. interesting the duos 64 mb that were available ( but not in stock)a week ago when I placed my order are not longer available on sony web page.

Sad news you bring us.
I was hesitating buying the P800 before 64mb/128mb MS-Duo MagicGate become available.
Now I begin to doubt that compatible 64mb/128mb MS-Duo will be available before Summer.

Does anyone regret having bought the P800 with only 16mb cards available?
Would you rather wait if you had to make the buy/wait decision today?

actually...what's the difference between MS Duo Magic gate and normal MS Duo? security?? connectivity??
