V3i connecting to P2K help

MPT detects it fine. P2K I dont get anything. the only fix that I have seen is someone taking a regular V3 and connecting it. after that loads they swap to the V3i and its fine from there on out. I dont have a regular V3 so I cant do that. I know this is a common problem. can anyone help?
