How did you hook up a bluetooth headset to your sidekick? Its not setup for that.

Did you get that add-on adaptor?

I was looking into those, and they seem kinda clunky.

It's not compatilbe with any bluetooth devices becuase your phone isn't bluetooth enabled. There are bluetooth adapters being sold by Jabra and other manufacturers, but I don't reccomend them from the testing I've done in the past, it's just not worth the the extra money for the quality of the adapter and its inconvenience.

ive heard mixed opinons on them for $50 its def worth testing i havent gotten around to doing it but my friend really like his...

note, with bluetooth "Adaptors" you still need to use the phones "Answer/Hangup" key, you can NOT use the bluetooth headset for that, this is due to the poor implementation by Danger/Sharp in the external hiptop headset connector, plus none of the system sounds will play through the bluetooth headset, or let alone through a wired headset either, this also due to the poor implementation of the hiptop 2's design.

so would it be safe to assume that the Sidekick 3 (whenver/if it ever comes out) will be bluetooth compatible?

It would be kinda stupid of them not to include that.
