I've searched the forums and didn't come up with any solutions that worked... does anyone know of a way to pair the h3 with a pc? My computor doesnt find the device

I have a H3 and have it paired with my WinXP(SP2) PC, using a Kensington Bluetooth2.0 USB dongle & Widcomm BT drivers - the Microsoft Bluetooth drivers built into XP are..shall we say... not very good. The MS BT drivers don't even support the Bluetooth Headset profile
I use it with Skype (and use SkypHeadset to quickly switch on the headset when an incoming call is in progress) - it works perfectly.
While it is biased towards getting a BT headset to work with Skype, a good description of disabling the built-in MS BT drivers and installing 'proper' Bluetooth drivers can be found here;

Good luck!

i also have the kensington dongle... and i installed the drivers that came with it and disabled microsofts... i still am unable to connect... where did you get the widcomm drivers?

The Widcomm drivers are supplied on the Kensington BT install CD. If you've installed the CD then you've installed the Widcomm drivers (and disabled the MS BT drivers too). So you should be good.
Does the headset pair with the PC OK? In other words, can your PC detect the headset at all?
And has it never worked or has it worked once then seems to have stopped working since then?

My PC has never detected the headset at all, it detects my phone... so i made sure my headset was on and i turned the phone off but still it doesnt detect it... Im using a dell inspirion laptop if that makes a difference

OK, with BOTH your phone and your headset switched OFF, ensure your PC is on and your Bluetooth USB stick and software is on/active. Then from 'My Bluetooth Places' search for a device. While it is searching, press AND HOLD the call button on your headset - continue to press the call button until the Blue LED remains lit (always ON, not blinking). At this point, the headset is in pairing mode and your PC should recognize the headset wants to talk with the PC - so a WinXP information 'bubble' should be displayed just above the task bar informing something is trying to connect. Click INSIDE the bubble (not the cross to close the bubble). Once the bubble has been clicked, a window should be displayed which allows you to enter the pairing keycode for the Bluetooth device you are trying to connect. Enter four zero's (0000) - which is the code for the H3 headset - and click on OK. At this point, the PC and headset can communicate, so the 'My Bluetooth Places' search should find it at this point and you should be able to use it with your PC.
There are other settings to consider, like - Control Panel->Sounds and Audio Devices->Audio - you have to select 'Bluetooth Audio' as the recording and/or Playback device as appropriate.

........ and now for the next issue;
Once you've paired your H3 with your PC, you won't be able to use it with your phone until you re-pair it with your phone. Unfortunately, BT headsets can only be paired with one device at a time (to the best of my knowledge & experience)
This means that if you use your H3 with a phone and a PC all the time, you'll find yourself constantly pairing the headset with whatever you want to use it with. Not a huge deal, but it is an inconvenience.

I have an H3, a V3, a Kensington BT 1.2 UST Adapter and I'm using MPT 4.0b. I have the H3 paired with both the V3 and the computer and H3 works with both (although not at the same time). I do not have to re-pair them everytime I switch from the V3 to the computer.
When I want to use the H3 with the computer, I go into My BT Places and right-click on the H3 to connect it. When it's connected, I hear an annoying beeping tune until I press the call button. I use the H3 with Skype and it works fine.
