how do you avoid them?

I don't use them More specifically, I look at every board that I can that I own and make sure Samsung components aren't used on them. I had a VERY bad experience with them a few years ago... I called them to get relief from the problem and they told me they won't do anything for it - after that I am an avid anti-samsung advocate.

i think it is a great phone.
build- great
sound- outstanding (the loudest phone i have ever heard and stereo...)
screen- fantastic and so bright.. (little small but super sharp)

battery life
extended battery- ok
normal battery- poor

would only last one day with moderate use of everything....
extended two to three days with the same usage

anything else let me know.

i plan on charging it every night so normal battery wouldn't be an issue correct? i am just wondering becuase some people are saying the normal battery wouldn't even last a day.

Everything I've seen about this handset indicates it's a non-U.S. tri-band, and thus does not support the 800MHz frequency range. If this is the case, those who travel in the U.S., and/or those that rely on the 850 band should avoid this handset.

I have the I300 and the battery life with the standard battery lasts a full day for me. I would rate myself a moderate user on the phone. Bluetooth active most of the day and maybe listening to MP3's for an hour or so.

By the way mine is up for sale if you are in the market.

Oh and by the way...I feel exactly as Digi does on this phone.

excellent build quality
excellent screen
awesome sound from the two speakers
plenty of storage space
and the coolest way I have found yet to navigate is the scroll wheel...really a lot like the iPod's
