Would modding a RAZR cause it to not charge properly?

My friend, zerilos & I did some mods to my phone tonight & I put it on the charger around 2:00am. It is now 4:27am & the damn thing still isn't fully charged. It was only about half way charged when I put it on the charger. Would doing the mods that we did tonight cause the phone to not charge the battery correctly?

This has been well documented.
It is not the modding but the P2K USB connections.
To get it back to normal
turn your phone off
plug into wall charger
Charge untill "Charge Complete"
unplug and turn your phone back on.
You may have to do this a couple of times but you will find it gets everything back to normal.
