Hello,

I am a current Verizon customer and it's time for me to sell my soul to the devil for another two years and accept the $100 reward for "New Every Two". I'm thinking about Verizon's Treo 650, but I've got a few questions and I'm looking for definitive answers - preferably from a fellow Verizon customer. Here goes.

I'm confused by the pricing for text messaging and picture messaging. What I want is to be able to send a text message or a picture message without signing up for a data plan (currently $25 or $45 extra). Can I do this with the Treo 650?

I've tried talking with Verizon's tech support for Data and I'm still confused. And I've searched this and several other forums. Still at a loss.

I'm currently test driving the "The V" (LG VX9800) for a few days. And I can do what I want using it, but I'm a long-time fan of the Palm OS and interface.

I appreciate any expertise you can pass along.
