Also, finally, I thing I got the last piece of the puzzle. I need to know if this USB Cable is ok to use when flashing my V635. I bought it at Cingular - it 's MA-8860C USB Data Cable / Charger Function for Motorola V300, V400, V600, V505, V551 and it says North American Edition for GSM phones. Is this ok?

yes....any usb cable that fits your phone will work...even if you have one from your digital camera, etc, it will work...the one i use came with my dig. camera...

A digital camera is going to have the same connection as a V635? I don't think so...

Your V3's might have a mini-USB but V635s don't...

The MA-8860C should work fine, but personally I wouldn't use anything short of OEM.

I wonder if the OP ever thought of just posting ONE thread where he could ask all of his questions instead of starting a separate thread for every query. He's looking quite prolific...

I'll bet you he's going to mess up the v635 and we will have a bunch of new threads on "how do I fix my V635 that does not work now!!!"
